  • NYC prosecutes off-duty officer

Has anyone heard anything about NYC prosecuting an off-duty officer who was carrying his firearm? I just read a brief blurb about this in American Cop magazine and was wondering if anyone has any details.

It sounds like there is either a whole lot more to the story or this has the makings of a great urban legend.
Fear not the armed citizen but rather the government that tries to disarm him.

Off duty from where?, what part of NYC was he collared in?, what were the other circumstances?. Out of town officers have been carrying in the Big Apple for years before HR 218 without a problem.

I don't know, like I said, it was only a brief blurb without details.......that's why I'm asking.
