Law Enforcement?

Just over 31 years. All with one Force. All of my service has been in uniform. Had several postings. Have lived here for over 13 years. Am on a Traffic enforcement unit, and have been for over 5 years.

Have recruited a lot of our members. Scared off some applicants. One of my sons has joined my Force. Have 2 brothers-in-law in my Force that I recruited. Have a brother-in-law that retired from my Force who joined before I met the boss. My ex-brother-in-law and 1 cousin had been Auxiliaries with 2 other Services.

Combine that with all of the teachers, nurses and lawyers on my beautiful wife's side, and there are not a lot of us that hold real jobs!

2 years- reserve (city)
20 years- officer (4 yrs), supervisor (9 yrs), admin officer (7 yrs) (county) but

who's counting.....

6 months mid size city cop

3 years smaller but very busy city cop

3 years Deputy Sheriff (quit for two weeks to work for Port Police...came right back)

12 yrs in a small municipality right in the middle of Houston
1 yr for large municipality

Three years with Air Force Air Police - Law Enforcement
Three years with small Police Department in So. CAL
Twenty-six years with California Highway Patrol
Fifteen years RETIRED!!!!

2 years boring suburban policing.

23 yrs 7 months broward s.o. / brevard so....( bigger is better )...

3 years (current) County Deputy Sheriff

2 years with a small village department.
3 years at a maximum state prison
11 years on patrol with the sheriff's department.
Gonna stick with the sheriff's department til I retire. Excellent job and department.

4 years with active duty coast guard, 3 of them spent in actual law enforcement
4 years as an 1811 Series federal agent (which I notice federal leo's weren't even listed!!)

2.5 years for a medium size town.

About nine years now, state department.

Edit: for what it's worth, 3 years in a municipal PD before that, six years in the Suck prior, and a volunteer at the same municipal throughout highschool.
