    A Cultural Conflict - What Do You Think?

    There is a legal advice board I participate in. This message was posted there this morning. Do you suppose this nice gentleman who posted it may be experiencing a cultural conflict with the standards of our country?

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

    Hello I was at a bar talking to a woman, and I placed a pill in her drink to make her sleepy. Unfortunately her friends were there and started making accusations next think I know I'm in a building for the police. I signed a document admitting what I did but I am still here. In my country it is socially acceptable to give people party pills. What is my next step and why am I still in police building? When do I go back to work? Do i need to give the girls father livestock or something to make this right? What happens next?

          If he is still at the police building, why does he have access to the internet to post this?

          I question the veracity of this alleged pill giving party guy. I think it is fake.

          But, working on the belief that this IS real, I would suggest this guy is totally f*cked. Cultural misunderstanding will not prevent his impending arrest. The DA in his area might be a walking t*rd, whose name may (extremely conditional) rhyme with Trash-Cone.*

          *I am not suggesting the SF DA would not prosecute a potential rapist, I am merely suggesting his creating Prop 47 (which decriminalized possession of dare rape drugs among many other crimes) is a pretty good indicator of his position on this topic.

                  about 20 yrs ago a Native Laotian killed his wife in small Iowa town after catching her cheating on him. He ABSOLUTELY saw nothing wrong with his actions due to it being part of "his culture"

                  None of that of course mattered when he was sentenced to life in prison for his actions in OUR culture.

                  EDIT: He became one of the best cabinet makers in our prison custom wood shop due to the many years he spent working there
