Good work by this officer noticing that something was up and getting these thugs off the street.

The armed teen who was shot and killed by a police officer during a robbery late Wednesday night lost his life over less than $15.
That's how much police said Charles Jamie Walden, 18, and his co-conspirator took from a Nashville convenience store at gunpoint, minutes before a run-in with a Metro policeman left Walden dead.
Police say Walden, of 229 Capitol View Ave., and another teen, Allen Christopher Marks, were robbing the Mapco at 2813 Dickerson Pike when Joe Shelton, a Metro K-9 officer, stopped at the store and confronted them.
Shelton, 42, an 18-year veteran, is on routine administrative assignment — essentially, desk duty — while the department investigates the shooting. Police have said the shooting was in self-defense.
Police said Walden and Marks, 16, entered the market shortly before midnight and demanded money. The men wore bandanas to cover their faces, and had pistols drawn, police said.
"As the robbery was taking place, Officer Shelton drove by the market in his marked police car and noticed what appeared to be suspicious activity at the front counter. Shelton turned around and pulled onto the outer edge of the store's parking lot" and could clearly see the robbery in progress, the police statement said.
Moments after seeing the police car, Walden ran out of the building carrying a large handgun, according to a police statement.
Shelton ordered Walden to stop in the parking lot, but Walden did not, and his gun was pointed in Shelton's direction, according to the release.
That's when Shelton fired his AR-15 rifle, hitting Walden in the neck and killing him.
Marks, of 306 Brewer Drive, surrendered after the shooting and was charged with aggravated robbery. Andrew Ray Adwell, 23, of 211 Capitol View Ave., who is accused of helping orchestrate the robbery, was arrested nearby and also charged, police said.
