Our brothers in New York have been long overdue for a serious raise for well over a decade.

From what I have heard, Gulliani was more supportive of proactive enforcement than previous administrations, but he seriously droppedthe ball when it came to showing true support for LE by crossing thier palms with silver.

Neighboring jurisdictions aren't even a good indicator in my opinion. Officers should be paid a true "living wage" in line with the costs of living and supporting a family in the area in which they work.

Officers should not have to work second jobs or score 20 hours OT every week just to make a decent living. My 2
