  • young + drunk + dad's porsche = GORE *Graphic Pictures*

This is from a fatal crash on the 241 toll road at Alton pkwy (Calif) on the afternoon of halloween.
The driver was an 18 year who took her father's brand new Porsche out for a spin without permission after getting drunk.
Two 9-1-1 calls came in about three mins. before she crashed. 1 was from her dad saying she just left the house w/ his car without permission - the other call was from a neighbor saying she peeled out at about 60+ around the corner in the neighborhood.
Within five miles from her house and a three minute time frame she managed to get the car on the 241 at well over 100 MPH where she ran into an unsuspecting driver in a Honda then into one of the toll booths.

Due to the nature I will post the links & not the actual pics.

Okay, got to number 5 and had to stop.

If those are your pics, you might want to blur out the plate, just to CYA.

They aren't mine so I don't have access to edit them. I got them from another car racing related forum

ugh, I hope she was gone at the start and hopefully too drunk to realize what was about to happen. Who cleans up the mess afterwards? I see a deputy picking up chunks eww.

That's a biohazard clean-up - they have companies that specialize in cleaning up that stuff.

In the old days, they'd just have the fire department hose everything down.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Just a few questions:

                      1) What happened to the driver of the Honda?

                      2) Anyone have a news article regarding this incident?

                      3) Do you have a "before" pic. of the dead 18-year-old girl?

                      4) Why didn't the fire dept. or coroner cover the body with a blanket or something??
May God bless every single public servant out there!

Nicole Catsouras, 18, of Ladera Ranch has been identified as the woman killed Tuesday afternoon after her black Porsche 911 Carrera clipped a Honda.

She was trying to pass on the right at more than 100 mph on the Foothill (241) Toll Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

Catsouras was driving her father's vehicle south near Alton Parkway when she suddenly switched lanes and lost control of the Porsche. She then cut across the center median, careened across traffic lanes and crashed into an unmanned tollbooth, CHP officials said.

The driver of the Honda Civic, Justin Thompson, 20, of Rancho Santa Margarita, was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

From 30 years of experience, including about 400 fatals,
The Honda driver was not hurt--glancing blow on right side.
Not aware of a news article
Fire Dept or First Responder DID cover the driver. CHP Units have 11-44 (code for fatal) Blankets in every trunk. The blanket was removed for forensic photos.

Judging from damage to the honda and the Porsche--without knowing of any skidmarks, looks like 75-80 MPH impact speed.

                            I seem to be desensitized.

Lesson here, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE. These are the type of pictures they should be showing students who don't seem to get it. Showing them a smashed car doesn't get the picture across. Those anti-dui music videos that depict an accident caused by drunk driving are too wussy and don't get the message across.

Judging by the image of the Honda, I assume the one(s) in it survived. It seems like all I ever hear about here is the drunk one surviving and the rest getting killed. How fast was the Porsche going?

What kind of Porsche was it? (Sorry, I just want to see what it should look like.)

Holy *****, I was expecting a higher impact speed. One of my former schoolmate's sister was hit with an impact speed of 160 km/h in an Echo. (They were stopped at a stop sign on the highway and the other driver was drunk and didn't try to stop. They were the main impact car.) There was a total of 6 people killed in that accident, and one of them wasn't the drunk driver. You don't want to know what she got for a sentence.
