I had to find this topic, in order to post what happened to me today.

My husband and I were in the middle of rush hour traffic today. The light turns green and everyone in front of us goes thru the light. But as we are taking off, this man is waving at us to roll down the window. Upon us rolling it down he has a cell phone in one of his hands and i tell my husband he must need directions. So we ask what he needs, keeping in mind there is a huge line of traffic behind both of us. He proceeds to ask if my licsense plate means Did ya see em kids. It really reads DJCMKDS. I was stunned that this person only was commenting on my plate. While laughing myself to death, I explain its my childrens initials. Delilah,Joey and Chris My Kids. He then tells me, Oh! I thought it was like one of them there Alabama plates, You know Did you see em kids. I know the people behind us had to be mad they missed the light all together. But we had a great laugh all the way home.

My own license plate is: L8ROFFCR. Anyone else would get a summons, but I usually just get a chuckle and a handshake. Being a LEO certainly does have it's perks.
