I have some of my art work I'm proud of in an online album. I also made the wall hanging. There's also some of my dogs pics there (like that's interesting....lol)

Oh, so the dog is Mitzi, now I get it.

Actually, I like the painting - very Impressionist.

Very nice, Mitzi! You're a talented lady. I've always wanted to be able to draw or paint, but I can barely get a line straight. Thanks for sharing!

I liked the art work very nice. But who named the dog Mitzi? [Wink]

She had a previous owner who gave her to us. My H saw her redneck boyfriend kick her across the room and just about went crazy. She was ours that evening. My H told her, "I'd be getting rid of HIM. Big tough guy, kicks dogs, REAL BRAVE" and glared at the bf as we left. He was just furious. My H was much bigger. The guy just sat there redfaced. A better dog I dare you to find She is absolutely wonderful.
I've had her 7 years now. But, next dog I get , I'm gonna name KEIFNER and enter it in the ugliest dog contest!
My art work is all that keeps me sane, I think. Thanks, guys.

              Those pointy little ears..!

The street scene painting is really nice, I appreciate a well done watercolor.....it IS watercolor, right?

Wish I could paint/draw as well. Can't always paint the clearest picture with your words, but I guess eveyone gets to see the same thing differently that way. Maybe I WILL finally draw that windmill that is in my mind......

              Thanks for some inspiration, ma'am.

You are quite welcome. And you are right. Art IS in the mind. I couldn't not NOT draw. Yes, the painting is a watercolor as are the pics of the labs.
Art in in the mind of the beholder. I used to give my artwork as gifts but no longer do. I decided that was prtety pompous of me when I saw one of my pics for sale at a flea market for 3$ (I bought it back and displayed it so my sister-in-law could see it...She's the one I gave it to)and another was given back to me with gratitude but "that wasn't the kind of art they displayed in their home." Funny, when someone gives me something they made, I treasure it. It shows they were thinking of me and gave me a little piece of themselves by taking the time to make something for me.
I display some of my wotk in a small gallery. But, most of it I just save. I like to think it will mean something to my son and other family members someday.

I STILL like the street scene. So, consider my name written on the back of it if nobody else wants to give it a home...... [Wink]
