Miss Cleo will soon be gone?? Any fans here??

Miss Cleo from the psychic hot line is being sued for false advertising, fraud and other unlawful business practices.

Miss Cleo has those commercials that promise psychic and tarot card readings and offers to "find the answers for free" with the slogan "Keepin' it Real."

Apparently the company uses the first three minutes to gather a customer's name and phone number and then put on hold before being told of the costs. They also billed customers for calls never made, calls made by minors without consent, and to those already dead. Sounds familiar!!

Have any of you ever used a psychic and would like to share your experience?

I have wanted to call one quite a few times out of sheer curiosity. Luckily when I signed up for my long distance service I was having one of my saner moments and requested a 900 number block to be put on my phoneline.

That decision has saved me more than once

I have been tempted to call and give them some fake information about myself just to see what they would say and then tell them if they were really psychic they would have known it wasn't true. I have a sadistic streak sometimes, but I'm glad I didn't do it after reading about the p[hone charges.

Great I can't stand her late-night infomercials. She is bilking poor people out of their money, and should be charged with fraud.

I don't care as much who she's bilking, I just find her COMPLETELY annoying. The only thing I find her useful for is testing that my mute button still works.

If she's really a physic then how come I have to phone her? If she was any good, she'd know I wanted to call and would get ahold of me!

I called one once a few years ago(not Miss Cleo).

When they asked for my credit card info, I told her I was staring at it and if she could "read" the number, she had my permission to max the card out.<click><dial tone>

If Miss Cleo was such a good psychic, shouldn't she have known already that she was going to get caught? Man, if I were that good, I would already be in the Bahamas somewhere laughing at the public.
