Well gang, as you know I quietly sit and mind my own business in chat (uh huh). About a year and a half ago I talked with a gentleman from RI. No big deal...we all talk...gab...shoot the you know what. A couple months later he reappears and he says, "you're the nurse from MA, right?" I honestly did not even remember him but I agreed I was and we chatted on line all night.

To make a long story short...our first date was Valentine's Day. We got engaged last night.
I SWORE I would not be one of those 'weirdos' that met someone on line. When we tell people how we met, we find so many other folks have met that way I am beginning to feel...um...perhaps not so weird.

So two more Officer.Com folks are getting together. Watch out...it can happen to you.

Oh, and you aren't weird at all! There's a couple at work... he moved from the UK to marry her after they met online.

i dont think it's weird, i know at least three other couples that met on-line and married. and lots more who date. it opens your horizons to different kinds of people all over the country (and the world), right from your home; sounds like a good way to meet someone to me. Good luck with everything.

anybody seen this new DATING CHANNEL on cable TV ? It started a couple of months back and is amazing ! A girl or boy comes on camera for 5 minutes.... telling their life story and it is pretty entertaining stuff, even if you have no interest in getting a date, it's a real laugh !! (better than QVC anyway !!)

It seems to me that because of the anonymous nature of the internet, most people are more honest with somebody and have a better chance of meeting somebody who they are truly compatible with. It can't be worse than hooking up in a bar.

We were just supposed to meet for one drink and whamo! I got the bonus package.
We are looking at October right now back in NY where I am originally from. The planning is so much fun!
