  • Just paranoid?

Last night, I had this really weird dream. Lately, I've been watching animal shows about lions and birds and reptiles and alligators eating bulls and stuff.

Well, last night, after watching the show, I went to bed and I dreamt that an alligator ate me.

    This is what happened.....

I went bike riding in the mountains with my friend and I saw an alligator. Then I got nervous and fell into a hole and landed in a lake full of alligators. Then this alligator came towards me and started attacking me. It bit me on my feet and started to toss me around as if to decide which part of me to eat first, my head or my feet. Then it started to gobble me down head first. Then I started to resist, kicking my legs to get away from it.

How would you feel if you dreamt of something like this? Does this mean something? [Frown]

That you are afraid of alligators? I hate the dang things and I live in Florida. For you Northernrs that move here, don't let your kids EVER swim in any fresh water but a pool here in Florida!
We have even had 2 swimming offshore on the beach but they would not have survived long. They were caught and released. They can loive in brackish and fresh water.

Well, in simple terms you might be afraid of alligators.

In complicated terms, you might be afraid of something in your subconscience. Afraid of something getting the best of you or entering a point where there is no return. Definite. Final.

I keep having dreams of my husband never coming home fromw work. Bottom line, I am a very insecure person who is afraid of ever having to be alone and do everything myself. It doesn't mean that he is going to, just that I have to deal with my own self esteem issues.

              Dream interpertation-
              1. It's a warning- don't bike in the mountains- buy a SUV.
              2. When SUV'ing in the mountains- don't fall in holes.
              3. The time to remember the ammo isn't when you're surrounded by alligators. When in the mountains- always have lots of it.

Of course I could be all wrong- the dream might be Freudian in meaning. And from what I remember of my psych courses- that means SEX!

No- not EVERY thread. Seems to me I remember one that didn't. Back in August. Of course, it didn't get a lot of responses.

I have very vivid dreams. One dream I had affected me so strangly that to this day I can remember every detail of it.

I was driving a van and saw an eighteen wheeler coming right for me, head on. I knew I was going to die. The truck hit me, sending me out the back of the van, I died instantly.

I was having a conversation with God and told him I wanted to say goodbye to my family. He allowed it. My body was okay as I went to tell my family goodbye and nobody believed what I was telling them.

God then told me that when I started to feel the pain, it would be time to go.

At that time I had a pinched nerve in my shoulder which would often wake me in the night. It started to hurt, in the dream I went, and woke up seconds later. The feeling that dream gave me was so weird that it stayed with me for a long time.

                    Dreams are strange, for sure.

Oh, I know the meaning of this one!!!

When having sex in the back of a van DO NOT set the cruise control and expect it to completely operate the vehicle.

I have learned a few things in Psych. classes
(I do pay attention once in a while [Wink] ) This might help interpret yout dream.

                        • [*]Words like mountains: Natural elevation of yourself. Aspiration. Success through effort.[*]Words like friend: Joy and consolation. Aspect of self ready for integration.[*]Words like alligator: It is a dream of caution. Primordial fear. Be careful in making new speculations. It is a dream unfavorable to all persons connected to it.[*]Words like hole: Escape. Search. Denial. Looking for an answer or hidden from it.[*]Words like lake: Contained emotions. Sense of tranquility or peace. Conformable with present state.[*]Words like head: Intellect. Understanding. It denotes threatened misery and loss will be avoid by wise action.[*]Words like or: Restricted vision. Cloud. Screen .Looking to hide certain feelings.[*]Words like down: Overturned. Confusion. Great disorder. You want to straighten something out.[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Words like legs: Is associated with support and movement. Joy and happiness.,but an injured leg denotes unprofitable occupations.

Now use these to examine you life and perhaps you will find relevance...perhaps you won't. No one really know if dreams have any "meaning" or not. I tend to think some do.

Falling down a hole is classic Freudian sexual symbology. The obvious reference is to the female sexual organ. As your screen name tends to indicate that you are female, I suspect that falling down the hole is an expression of your latent homosexuality. The alligators are a symbol of your fear and hostility toward your homosexual feelings. Getting eaten by the alligators is obviously indicative of the conflict between your homosexual impulses and the fear and hostility that you also feel. It also suggests that you fear that the subconcious conflict may destroy you.
