Well, the Papa John's I've been at was just bought by a franchisee. Today was the last day of corporate domination, and me and the other Jeff spent all day scrubbing the store and cleaning off the grime of our corporate stewardship (including arranging the termination of two shiftrunners who have spent more time stealing money and smoking weed then doing anything else -- ***** corporate wouldn't fire them).
Anyhoo, I met the new owner a few weeks ago, when he was still in the "consideration" phase. I can't believe he had to pay much for the store, the sales are under $10k a week. Apparently he has a good record for "turning stores around", so here's hoping a lot of no-goods get fired, some do-goods get hired, and we kick the heck out of the Cockeysville store's sales (I hate the manager)!
