Bear with me. This is one of my pet peeves:
I've coached a few years and STILL don't understand what motivates coaches to schedule games during holidays. Holidays, when traditionally, FAMILIES spend time TOGETHER....not spent taking kids to practice or sticking them on a bus to an away game.
Don't coaches realize that the holidays are the ONLY times some families get to visit relatives, etc? Perhaps it is as I suspect....they just don't care anymore. The almighty $1 wins out.
Rant off.
