So, insomnia has reared its ugly head yet again. What do you do to get asleep? Any tried and true methods?

I was just gonna watch CNN until I dozed off but chat is so much more fun!

Melatonin usually works, if you have any lol. i keep it in the house. also warm milk, or even a heating pad on low. i usually lay on the couch when bed doesnt work.

I read an article that said stay OFF-line at least an hour before you try to go to sleep. appearantly it's real bad for sleeping lol.

PS. i forgot to add this! my dog's snoring puts me to sleep constantly! get a dog!

I watch Sportscenter or a movie I have already seen. I can't fall asleep unless there is noise. If it's dead silent and I have nothing to occupy my eyes with my mind goes crazy. I start thinking about work, life, and everything else and I can't sleep. Sleeping pills and the like rarely work for me.

I haven't slept well the past few nights....even with Melatonin. Something's up...besides ME.

I have used a "sound machine" for as far back as i can remember. the kind you can switch to different kids of sounds...waves, rain, waterfall, etc. i cant sleep in silence. i even take it on vacations with me.

I cant have total black darkness, either. i have these neat fiber-optic dragonfly lights around the inside of one bedroom window. they give the room a nice glow.

Drinking a glass of wine does it for me, or listening to soft music while doing a meditation.
