  • Speaking of "tunes"

Did you ever walk into.. lets say the dispatch area.. whistling the theme song to the Andy Griffith Show and then look around for something and walk out without saying a word...just whistling the theme song?

I've done that a couple of times only to return to HQ a couple of hours later to have the dispatcher, or whoever, say "I can't get that tune out of my head!"

The Addam's Family theme works too but not as well..

I have sat and whistled or hummed a tune to get into peoples head and then leave just to irritate them. At times it is pretty fun. I use little catchy tunes like commercial jiggles.

I have learned quickly in my new job at a casino that nothing drives a co-worker crazier than to start humming "We're in the money" while they are on break

We spend half the night just trying to keep that song out of our head and get pretty good at ignoring it but when it suddenly pops up in your off time it gets stuck

The worst part is that none of us knows the words

I think some of the most "adhesive" ones are songs you sing to your kids or that are played by their toys.
