  • 'Parking tunes'?

For those of you OLD enough to remember 'parking'...what were some of your FAVORITE 'parking tunes'?

    Here's a few of mine(ca 1978-80):

    Paradise By the Dashboard Lights/Meatloaf
    Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'/Journey
I Want to Kiss You All Over/Exile
    Lady/Styx

Oh, yeah..pretty much ANYTHING by KC and the Sunshine Band.

Paradise by the Dashboard Light is a great one...

A couple i remember, because they dealt with "firsts" ...

First serious parking session (lol): When Will I See You Again? by the 3 Degrees (I think that's the group)

And the BIG first (was not parking! lol): We're All Alone by Boz Skaggs

      Me:

About any Journey, Eagles, Air Supply, etc.

And it is ALLEGED (by a friend who would KNOW) that more virginity has been lost to "Love Hurts" than any other song...

Hmmm...lets see..there's Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project...Huh?..OH, THAT type of parking! I thought you meant the report writing kind!

I'm more than old enough..Maybe that's the problem.. I can't remember.. The 60'-70's were kind of a Waaay out there, man... lots of colors and stuff happenin'..

Meat's Bat out of Hell album is STILL selling strong these days. Great album.

I remember listening to Alan Parsons, Chicago, and Def Leppard back in the high school days, and the Sade's Love Deluxe a few weeks back.

I always liked Alan Parsons Project. I hated Air Supply but as I remember, they always served their purpose well. Of course, Paradise By the Dashboard Lights is timeless.

Paradise by the Dashboard Light brings back a lot of good memories.

Now remember, I was a good girl , so songs like these never had an impact at all on me:

Fooled Around and Fell in Love/ Elvin Bishop
                    Keep on Lovin' You/REO Speedwagon
                    Feel Like Makin' Love/Bad Company
Unchained Melody/Righteous Bros. (even back then, I found it romantic)

I'll go with Air Supply and REO Speedwagon a little...........

Then there was "Touch me" by Samantha Fox (oh do I have a story for that one..... )

But I dated a lot of "rocker" chicks, so having the Scorpions on was not too unusual.

A more recent song that seems to have a very positive effect on the female of the species in this sort of situation......"Man, I feel like a woman" by Shania Twain.
