I'm sure everyone is familiar -- at least in passing -- with the story. King Richard the III had his young nephews (staying in the Tower of London, not then a full time prison) killed so as to secure the throne for himself. There's a special on the History Channel ("In Search Of ..." narrated by Leonard Nimoy) that re-runs every now and then.
I've recently finished reading "The Daughter of Time", by Josephine Tey. The story is about Scotland Yard detective Alan Grant, who, while recovering in the hospital after a serious injury, becomes intrigued by a painting of Richard the Third, and (believing him not to have a face of a man who could kill his own nephews), begins his own investigation into the events, and the history surrounding both Richard and Henry's claims to the throne. Tey did some meticulous research into this book, and the conclusion left me wanting to beat Nimoy over the head with this book!
Amazon.com, Tey!
Anyway, it's a VERY good book!
