Can non-LE people post in other people's threads?

Say, if I want to make a comment to something I read in an "Public Forum" like General LE Questions or Ask A Cop, can non-LE people post in other people's threads?

I know I read and agreed to the rules & regs when I registered, but now I can't find them.

You can post in any forum besides Ask-A-Cop and all the forums in the "Officers Only, Please" Forum.

To be clear, you can post a question in the ask a cop forum, and can ask additional questions in THAT THREAD if you have further questions on the answers you are given. But you can't answer other users questions in the ask a cop section.

If you have a question about something you read in the Sworn officers section, post the question in the ask a question.

BTW, we appreciate people like you that try to follow the rules.
