Well, not quite free, it cost the tax payer about 20 million bucks (and they're making a second game, FMV role play, it'll stink).

I like the various Half Life mods, myself... Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike, Natural Selection... nothing beats co-op multi-player games!

    Half-Life: Counter-Strike is where it's at.

If anyone here plays it, swing by [EGBT] (Evil Geniuses for a Better Tomorrow). But be warned: we play **aggressive**, objective-based (not death match) rounds.

I'm 2/3 through Command & Conquer Generals.I think everybody on this forum should get it as you get to play as terrorist *** kickers in Bagdad. There are 3 teams, USA, China, GLA (terrorists), both US and China are anti-GLA. Its great real time strategy although slightly bad taste, but who cares? Its only a game, isn't it.....

Splinter Cell is a great game but unfourtantly I will be unable to afford it when it comes out. Maybe some other day.

Spiderman-- Good graphics, good gameplay really short game, it's a game to rent not buy you should be able to beat it in under 10 hours.

Medal Of Honor--read above except playing on the difficulty levels can make it a challenge.

Solcom---A fair game, I wasen't too impressed until I played it online that is definently where all the fun is.

I have really played the other games. Age of Empires and Age of Mythology are always great time consuming PC games.

Anyone play Madden online if ya do let me know your screenname?

Heh, as if you cops didn't think us firemen were lazy enough as it is. After house chores/training/working out, we still have a lot of time in the day. 6 of the 11 guys on my crew hang out in the "study room" aka "hide from the officers room" and play ps2 4 player games.

As for the PC, I cant stop playing Ultima Online, a massivly multiplayer internet game with no end goal or point, just to go out and do stuff, meet people, build a house, etc. My wife hates that game

SWAT 3 is a game I still play a lot. There are always new MODs to download such as new maps and guns.

Desert Storm for PS2 was ok. I do not like using only the analog control, it makes the movement in this game difficult.

Medal of Honor is one of the best out there I think. The expansion pack(Spearhead) was good only wish it had more levels.
I recently picked up the Robotech: Battlecry which is a neat game since I grew up watching the show.

Spiderman- Its an OK game, theres a code to play as the green goblin wich is much more interesting than playing as spiderman.

Ghost recon- I kinda liked it. I could never see what my men were aiming at appaerntly they can see much farther than the game lets you.

Desert Storm- Very awsome squad based military game. I think its better than ghost recon, but ghost recon is more realistic(one shot kills on you're guys). I had alot of fun with this game.

These are all the games I have for the Xbox
    Desert Storm
    Halo
    Sega GT 2000
    Hunter
    Baldurs Gate dark alliance
    Deathrow
    Morrowind

Next month is the release of Splinter Cell for PS2. CAN'T WAIT!!!

What can anybody offer on the following games:
    Spiderman
    Desert Storm
    Ghost Recon
    SOCOM
    Soldier of Fortune
    Silent Scope

First, you will not be disappointed with Splinter Cell. Freaking awesome!!!!

    Spiderman- never played it.

Ghost Recon- To quote... "Squad-based tactical combat with next-generation military action in stunning 3D environments. Mission-driven storyline with 15 different singleplayer maps (as big as 400m x 400m), and 6 dedicated multiplayer maps. Up to 36 people can play online multiplayer games via internet (TCP/IP) or LAN. Specialist characters that can join your team who add much needed firepower with their own, distinctive weapons. Easy to use on-the-fly mission planning interface gives the player total, flexible control over their squads. Simulates the latest military hardware including the OICW combat systems and the Land Warrior command and control system."

Just make sure if you play it on PC you have a system that can handle it. I personally enjoyed it and would recommend it.

    Desert Storm- never played it

    SOCOM- Never played it

Soldier of Fortune- It's ok but there are much better games. I found it to be average. Don't spend 50 bucks on it, wait for it to hit the bargain rack.

Silent Scope- only played it at the arcade

I've got one more character to beat in Hot Shots Golf & I play one game each night to try to beat him. My son has Halo on the Xbox & we stayed up until 4 in the morning playing it.

I got a PS2 for Christmas this year. The only games I've played are NASCAR Thunder 2003, NFL Gameday '03 and NBA Hoopz.

I'm working on a season on Gameday and I've already raced 4 seasons on NASCAR. Next comes the career (20 consecutive seasons and includes sponsorship deals, R&D, crew acquisitions, etc.). I'm working hard to unlock all of the plates right now, though.

When I played my PS1 more, I got hooked on GT2 and Driver.

Next month is the release of Splinter Cell for PS2. CAN'T WAIT!!!

They look cool, but geeze, 40-50 bucks is a bit much if you're not sure about it. I used to rent from Bluckbuster, but the game manuals were always missing, so I've ditched that option.

I'm not a regular gamer, but I have been addicted to a few in recent years:

    Civilization II & III

Age of Kings (until I made the mistake of loaning it to my brother-in-law -- I haven't seen it since! But at least I can take consolation in the fact that now he is addicted )

Deux Ex -- Boy, was I hooked on this one! Great game. I can't wait for the sequel to come out.

Baldur's Gate -- really wish they'd make more RPG's like this one

Tomb Raider (the first few releases)

Some not so recent games that I was addicted to: Myst & Doom.

I've played a few others recently, but the above were the only ones that kept me up into the wee hours of the morning and left me wanting more when I was done.

Ghost Recon has been the cause of more "okay class, we're gonna watch a movie" than I could possibly count.

Well, not really, but you get the idea. The Rainbow series is good too, and Sim City 3 had me playing with those little sims long into the night.

So yes, video games are addicting...but anyone who tries to regulate them better beware!
