I hate last minute runs!!!!!! (rant)

So, there I am...last hour of the shift, assisting on a shooting scene, when up strolls the only do-gooder in the entire projects we're in. "Officer, there's a guy in a maroon car that just hit two cars and drove off, up the hill. He's still up there, but getting ready to leave." Soo what does good 'ol stupid diver do (did I mention it's not even my beat?)?? I go toolin' back to my squad, and proceed to drive up the hill. Well, sure enough there goes a maroon car. I hit the lights, and the chase is on...guy finally stops, and slides over to the passenger side, and refuses to show me his right hand, until the side of his head and Mr. Glock 22 come to an understanding. I get him out, and quickly realize he's too drunk to stand, car ends up being stolen, he's suspended, got another VT pending, the list goes on and on....so anyway, here I am with a stack of #$%3$#in paperwork to do...accident report, arrest report, DUI report....AARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
