Police Cruisers Needed

Some time ago, I posted information about a new County Police Department being formed here in my County. Well, it's been slow and difficult, but we have managed to acquire lots of equipment..pretty much everything we need except radar units and police vehicles. I felt it was time to once again "put it out there" about our desperate need for cruisers. We need at least 4 of them to start with. If your department has a cruiser that is still in good condition inside and out, but is due to be replaced, would you please check with the appropriate people to see if it would be possible to donate it to our department? We have a little money to spend if necessary, but not much and it would be so wonderful to have a cruiser donated.

I know this is a big item, but until we get the cruisers, we're stuck. If anyone can help with this, or some reliable info on other entities/agencies that donate cruisers to small departments to help get us going, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You got anybody on there that knows anything about "grant money?" If not, recruit someone, he will be worth his weight in gold!

That's what they due them down here in New Orleans Grant them to death. Got a couple of million for community policing recently and it extends over the next five years.

also check with drmo and govt seizures also your county insurance carrier may offer some grant ideas.....
