Number of police officers worldwide

Hi,

I'm currently in the process of writing a business plan for a product that could be used by police forces worldwide.

Does anyone have statistics on how many police officers there are in the world? Preferably a breakdown by continent and/or country would be great but even a top line number would be a start.

Also on the same subject, if anyone has details on the number of firefighters and paramedics/doctors would be useful.

I hope someone can help me out on this.
