I for one plan to stick around and see how the place turns out after all of the changes. I hope that they turn out for the best. I took a look at Firehouse.com and it seemed okay. However, it has WAY too many sections in its forums.

I also want to remind folks about www.teneight.com and www.******************.com.

One big difference about Firehouse.com is the userbase, more than 17,000 users of the 50,000+ registered have been active on the forums there in the last year, compared to about 1,200 here.

So while most of the topics there are fairly active, the same is probably not the case here. We will do some extensive testing and polling, on the forums, on email, and on the main site, before deciding what, if any, new categories to add.

One thing I'd like to see is letting people post pictures, so we could have a whoie thread with pictures of peoples guns. I know guns scare some people, but is would just be pictures.
