  • Al Sharpton and what's good for the goose

    I saw an interview today on GMA with Al Shartpton. He was talking about the 1983 video just shown on HBO where he appears to be in agreement to the terms of a drug deal.

    Mr. Sharpton was upset because he said the the entire video has not been seen and will show that he refused to engage in drug dealing. At the end of the interview Mr. Sharpton said he was heading out to Inglewood CA. I wonder why he's going out there, and I wonder if he has no clue of the double standard he sets?

    He sets a double standard when he says it is not fair to judge him based on an incomplete video, which it is not, yet apparently, it's ok with him to crucify the LEO in Inglewood based on the same thing.

    That tape was shown on "Real Sports" on HBO, apparently there was also talks on the tape about promoting boxing matches.

    Anyways, the Rev. Al is going to sue HBO for 500 Million because the show portrayed him a bad light and will seriously damage his "probable Presidential Campaign."

    Presidential Campaign??? He can't even win an election in NYC. What in the heck is he thinking?

      according to al, if a white guy is caught on tape it's the truth. if a black guy is caught on tape it's a setup.

      double standard indeed!!

        Maybe Al is going to Inglewood, CA. because he's searching for a new home.
        This is an abstract from the NY Post:

        REV. DEADBEAT BOUNCED : MARSHALS EVICT SHARPTON FROM EMPIRE STATE BLDG.
        New York Post; New York; Jul 13, 2002; LOIS WEISS and ANDY GELLER;

        Abstract:
        In 1995, the state and city officials went after him for more than $20,000 in unpaid income tax, penalties and medical bills. The federal government later said [Al Sharpton] owed an additional $80,000 in back taxes.

        Sharpton also took three years to pay $65,000 to Steven Pagones, the man he falsely accused of rape in the Tawana Brawley hoax 15 years ago.

          It really is kind of funny, the scum bag has made a career of slandering others, and now he isn't to happy when the shoe is on the other foot.

          I really hope he runs for President. I cant wait to see his face when he only gets a few thousand votes, nationwide!

            Now, he knows that he won't get that many votes. The key is keeping his name out there. More notice, more power.

            I think he's hoping for a settlement from HBO. He doesn't want to go to trial and
