    It is my curse. 3 am and I'm still going strong. I would do great as a cop on the niteshifts. I'm always awake! Anyone else have it? I've tried relaxation tapes and they help a little. Don't want to try medication because I did once. Felt like I had a hangover the next day. I feel so tired but guess I require very little sleep!

    Worked nights for 5 1/2 years...almost killed me. Insomnia is not our friend. Try a warm shower and some warm milk before bedtime. Only use your bed for sleep and..sex. (hey this is what the experts say). Do not exercise close to bed time or do not eat before bed.

    If all else fails...try an antihistamine....it will knock you out. Half a glass of wine (no more). Melatonin worked for me also.

    Hope something works for you. I know how frustrating it can be.

      i dont have that problem now, sleep is my hobby! but i've had it in the past, and used Melatonin, which is a natural substance that promotes sleep. it's not for everynite, constant use, but it works. you need to give yourself time to be able to sleep 8 hours after you take it.
