  • How many of these make the papers?

First- I don't post much (ok, any, really) but I read the boards a lot and there's some really good stories amongst everyone, sooo...
I'm sick of hearing only negative stuff in the news about police so I was rather pleased to see a newspaper report something that I'm sure happens all the time, but no one ever takes the time to learn about:

I'm shocked it made the paper. It seems most of the time that people could care less when cops do good but they brand us all as corrupt when the small minority does something bad.

I think it's great they did that for the child and I'm also shocked it made it into the newspaper.

Two Cincinnati police officers will be honored in Washington, D.C. for helping a one-legged African refugee get a free prosthesis.

Sgt. Brian Ibold and Officer Joe Lorenz were among more than 250 officers from across the country nominated for the National Association of Police Organizations' Top Cops Awards. Chief Tom Streicher suggested their good deed be nominated after the Enquirer featured it in an April story.
Bet you don't hear THAT about the Cincy PD!
