  • Music, please!

Who is the first musical performer/band you've seen, and how old were you?

Now don't laugh, but the first band I saw was the Bay City Rollers. I was probably 11 or 12 years old at that time.

The next year, the BCR were all but forgotten. I went to see Aerosmith, and oh man, was it ever an incredible concert.

I love hearing live music. I've seen a lot of bands and performers live, with Mellencamp probably being my fave, and Dave Matthews the worst I've ever seen. If I could afford it, I'd go to a show every week.

Special note to Jellybean: Passing on the Fez this year. I really wanted to go, especially to see Our Lady Peace. I'm disappointed, but I had to choose between two shows: The Feztival or Godsmack. Sully wins hands down.

I don't go to many concerts but the first artist I saw in concert was Celine Dion many years ago. I just recently saw Journey and Peter Frampton.

My older brother took me to see the Beastie Boys when I was 12. My parents were ****ed when we came home at 1 am, but it was worth it.

Eddie Rabbit at the Washington County Fair & Rodeo. I guess I was about 9 or 10. I don't remember much about the concert except there wasn't very many people there, I got front row seats and he had a huge belt buckle filled with rhinestones.

By far the best concert was Dwight Yoakum and KD Lang. The absolute worst was Hank Williams Jr.

The first band I saw live were called RunRig, I doubt any of you will have heard of them but they rocked. I was a late starter at 18 years old, but then not many bands came to my wee town.
