  • What do you do for exercise in the hot hot weather!

What do you do for exercise. One of the things I do is walk.. in fact I am a walk freak but have found it next to impossible with the 1000 degrees humidity! I walk outside, realize I can't breath, and have had to turn around and try again in the midnight hour!

What do you do for exercise in the hot hot hot hot hot hot weather? (Besides sex, pushing the buttons on the remote or raising a bottle of beer! )

On my cardio days I still run, I just get up alittle earlier and do it. Two days a week I hit the pavement at 04:30. I'm gonna be glad when someplace around here gets an indoor track.

I mow my yard, twice a week, with a push mower.....all 2 acres of it. The hardest part is starting it...

Football practice starts in 3 weeks, so I'll be back to running with my players, and hitting the weights, again. Year before last, it was still 104* at 1500hrs, but practice went on.....

Seriously, I have an indoors elliptical trainer that I use inside with a fan. I try to rollerblade some but in the heat can only handle it on mornings on my days off.

I run on the treadmill when it's too hot (or wet, or cold...etc) to run outside. Normally I run about 30 min. per day, six days a week. I also lift weights using our home gym on two of those six days.

Swimming is also great when the weather is hot, unfortunatly I don't get to the pool much

I run in the evening, Then treadmill it on the days i can't find time to make it outside. Swimming with the kids alot this summer. But i can't call sharing a pool with a couple hundred kids exercise, they barely give you room to wade let alone swim. Sometimes going to the public pool just sucks. What i wouldn't give for a pool of my own

              Hot weather !
Sorry, I'm in the UK, can somebody explain what "hot weather" means ?

Seriously we have had our summer - three days of 80 degree heat. Gone now, that was it !!!!

Personally I go to the gym 4 times a week. I road run on the odd occasion the sun comes out.

Every time I workout my wife gets pregnant.

I must have worked out lately.

On my days off, I run at night. On work days, I just suck it up and run when I get out of bed like usual, but I cut my distance short. Since I run out in the middle of nowhere, if it's really hot I take my daughter with me and have her drive the truck behind me so she can pick me up when I'm ready to call it quits or get too dehydrated. We've been lucky this year though. After that couple day spell of 120s we have had 95-105 every day for weeks. It's been like spring around here and I've been loving it.

Even with temps around 100, I still work on my cardio 3 to 5 times a week by running in the early afternoon.

In addition, if it's too hot outside, I just go cycling as opposed to running. That way, I don't feel like I'm gonna pass out as fast.

When I DO run, which admittedly ain't too often...I enjoy running in the hot weather. I KNOW it's not good to do, but I get a sweat going quicker, and it brings back memories of Fort Benning!!!!

Thank you sir, may I have another?
