  • Need an Officer's Input!

I'm working on a 9/11 project for school and need a quote from 2 Police Officers on the subject. I'd really appreciate if any officers here could, in like a sentence or two, tell me how you feel/felt about 9/11 from a police officer’s point of view. Anything would be a great help. Thank you so much!

I was working midnights and woke up about noon.
I called my wife who was very upset, but could not tell me what was wrong. She was able to tell me to turn on the news.
I was sitting on my exercise bike pedaling away when I turned it on.
I saw what had happened, I stopped pedaling and I was sick to my stomach. A few minutes later as some of the shock wore off, I felt tears rolling down my cheeks.

That night I went into work and my job has never been more important to me as it has been since that day.

I will never forgive and I will never forget.

Here is a piece from another board that expresses my feeling exactly.
    --------------------------------------------------
    I don't want "justice"; I want revenge.

200 years from now, I want their children's children's children's children to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear the sounds of jet engines overhead because their legends tell of fire from the sky.

I want them to hide in dark caves and holes in the earth, shivering with terror whenever they hear the roar of diesel engines because the tales of their ancestors talk about metal monsters crawling over the earth, spitting death and destruction.

I want their mothers to be able to admonish them with "If you don't behave, the Pale Destroyers will come for you", and that will be enough to reduce them to quivering obesience.

I want the annihilation to be so complete that their mythology will tell them of the day of judgment when the stern gods from across the sea - the powerful 'Mericans - destroyed their forefathers' wickedness.
