IT'S A DANGEROUS SITUATION -- AND NOT JUST FOR THE HELPLESS VICTIMS IN MARYLAND, DC, AND VIRGINIA

What could be more terrifying? An unknown shooter is on the loose, striking apparently at random in broad daylight from no fixed location. Women, children, men, whites, blacks, Asians, professionals, working people -- no one is safe.

For ordinary people, the ongoing murders in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC, are a nightmare. For the nation's media, they are high drama. For those who hate firearms ... these murders are the best thing that's happened since Columbine. The horror is tailor-made to further their agenda. And it WILL further their agenda if the public remains ignorant and gun owners remain too trusting of politicians...

The efforts of Sarah Brady, the Million Moms and the Violence Policy Center, supported by incessant, aggressive marketing by the liberal media, brought pressure on the FAA to disarm pilots that had been routinely carrying handguns prior to 9-11. Conyers Says Gun Makers 'Marketing Sniper Rifles to Criminals'

Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - The ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee has accused some gun manufacturers of marketing so-called "sniper rifles" in a manner that "appears to intentionally appeal to law breakers."

"The D.C. Metropolitan area has been hit by a tragic flurry of gun violence," Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) said at a Capitol Hill news conference Thursday. "Nine innocent people have been killed or injured by a serial killer who is using the technology of sniper rifles." Another fatal shooting Friday morning initially appeared linked to the other Beltway Sniper incidents.

Gary Mehalik with the National Shooting Sports Foundation called Conyers' comments "a crass and opportunistic attempt to capitalize on the sufferings and deaths," of the victims and their families.

I don't know if the shooter or shooters are Al-Qaeda but Al-Qaeda will follow the lead after seeing the affect this has on the citizens.

The ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee has accused some automobile manufacturers of marketing so-called "Super Sports or SS"(high performance) vehicles in a manner that "appears to intentionally appeal to law breakers."

He went on to say "There is absolutely no reason why any law abiding individual should need an automobile capable of surpassing the lawful speed limit or outrunning law enforcement personnel."
