They showed a segment from Tampa. Officer gets sent to a possible burglary in progress at a truck yard. Officer explains that this certain truck yard gets hit often, apparently the bad guys go through the trailers looking for merchandise.
Officer meets up with a security guard who points him in the direction the bad guy was seen last. Officer sees bad guy and a short foot pursuit ensues. Officer catches up with bad guy and arrests him. Officer then recites the Miranda Warning to the bad guy as he is walking back towards his squad.
Officer: "After hearing the warning, do you wish to speak with me without a lawyer present?"
Bad guy: "No."
Officer: "O.K."
(less than 3 seconds later.)
Officer: "What were you doing here?"
Bad guy: "Just looking around."
That's a classic. There is the old saying, "It's only unconstitutional if it gets suppressed."
