thankful for safety & success: Search Warrant

We executed our FIFTEENTH search warrant last night. All fifteen have been successful, safe, and resulted in drug arrests ranging from marijuana to heroin.

This is a small department, an average of 13 FT officers. We have prepared and executed far more than the State DEA. And our city population is somewhere around 9k (I think--don't quote me!) neighboring city of 80k has had--count 'em--ONE this year. The SO I'm Reserve with assisted on this one too... can you feel the love?

I was merely Dispatching last night, and let me tell you, after recent events in the country, I prayed AWFULLY hard from the time we made entry to the time I got the "Clear". Longest 6 minutes of my life I think...

I am so very, very grateful for a safe, well executed entry.

Of course... the large amount of marijuana and JACKPOT (that's a quote from the Corporal who was lead investigtor! ) make for a LOVELY Christmas present...

We're planning/hoping for one more before the end of the week... fingers and toes crossed
