    PelicanDriver,
    quote:
David Hasselhoff, William Shatner, and singing gorillas all in the same thread. There must be a common theme there. Mmm...THERE IS! They all sound the same when they sing!

I think you owe Koko an apology.

Uhh...what was that? A signing gorilla you say! Oops, thought I was on to something. It did make a lot of sense at first glance...

Oh, don't get me started on William Shatner! lol I corespond with a person that works with Koko, the signing gorilla. Shatner got to meet her because he was working on some sort of environtmental thing. Afterward, he said Koko tried to grab his crotch which my friend said was a total fabrication.
Very few people get to meet Koko because she is supsceptible to human disesases like colds.
If a famous person is working on something about environment and animals, they MIGHT get to meet her. (Her very favorite person in the whole world was Mr. Rogers!)
I would give anything to get to meet her but the general public can not meet her. So, Shatner gets the wonderful honor of getting to meet this amazing animal and what does he do? Says she tried to grab his crotch. I think he should not flatter himself! grrrrr
Koko is AMAZING as are the people that work with her. I am so thrilled just to talk to one of the people that work with her. They do amazing work there. They also have a wonderful male gorilla NDume. 2 years ago, it was devastating to them to lose Michael, another signing gorilla who was able to sign some words that he knew his mother had been killed and he was taken. He signed "Loud bang" and that his mother had been cut. He was very tramatized from it. He died of a heart attack at age 23.
If you would like to know more about Koko, go to www.gorilla.com She amd NDume are SO amazing as are the people that work with them and love them.

started a topic I never knew...

    I never knew...

...That amazon.com could be such a fantastic source of entertainment!

The Best of David Hasselhoff - Import

The reviewers here are really quite wonderful...

    quote:
You know, once in a while it is my pleasure, and my privilege, to review here on Amazon.com, some of the truly great international artists of our time. And tonight we have one such artist. Ladies and gentlemen, someone whom I've always personally admired, perhaps more deeply, more strongly, more abjectly than ever before. A man, well more than a man, a god, a great god, whose personality is so totally and utterly wonderful my feeble words of review sound wretchedly and pathetically inadequate. Someone whose boots I would gladly lick clean until holes wore through my tongue, a man who is so totally and utterly wonderful, that I would rather be sealed in a pit of my own filth, than dare tread on the same Stage with him. Ladies and gentlemen, today I review the incomparably superior human being, David Hasselhoof.

The song "Hot Shot City" is particularly good.

    quote:
    A touch, a whisper. A kiss.

These things are fleeting, tiny moments of beauty never to be relived again.

But the CD "Looking For-Best of David Hasselhoff [IMPORT]" is a treasure to be enjoyed for all time. One can play this marvelous album over and over again, reliving a perfect moment for all time, except when one's probation officer drops by to make sure one is not hassling old women at the bus stop again.

For those who think the most beautiful things in life are intangible and cannot be captured, I heartily point and laugh at you. For I and hundreds of others have discovered this CD and all the joy and beauty and life-affirming triumph that cannot be captured by startling old ladies at the bus stop by lunging at them but not really attacking them, honestly officer.

The song "Hot Shot City." Wow. That one is particularly good.

    And many, many more...
