FOR FUN.. Your fav. things about summer time

I love summer. It's my very favorite season. I love going down the shore, watching the waves crash. I love everything that has to do with the shore: laying out getting a tan, going on rides at the amusement piers, the tourists, bbq's, parties, the lighthouses (love the one in Cape May), and I especially love the Boardwalk. I absolutely LOVE the Jersey shore. One day, I hope to move there.

What are your favorite things about summer?

Fishing, the bbq, softball games, and warm summer nights sitting under the stars on the beach. I cant wait until I can retire and enjoy the summers full time

I, for one, HATE summer. I do enjoy the beach and the pool but that's about all. I am a Fall and Winter person. I love it cold and where do I live? FLORIDA!!!! ack! I can't go outside without the bugs biting and the heat is absolutly sweltering. I try to get my husband to move to a state that gets colder winters but no go. He will never leave his Florida!
I LOVE October, my favorite month of the year!

I can't imagine living where it is summer year round!! Christmas without snow????

It's the pits! I was born in West Virginia and I remember the snowy Christmas's! I beg my husband to move but he has only known Florida.....He was born here. I hate that my family moved from West Virginia to Florida thinking it would help with my allergis, of all things! But, it is strange.....When I go back to West Virginia, my allergies are worse there then here. I don't care. I love it in West Virginia!

Although it would be nice to be around Disney Land all the time!!!!! I would give up my job to work there!!!

You do NOT want to go to Disney Wolrd in the summer. The heat is really brutal and the lines so long. We go in February or March, when it's stil cool. I've been so many times, I think I have the whole world memorized. We go with friends and family to kind of guide them through it.

You say that now!!! I live about 45 minutes from the attractions, and let me tell you, traffic SUCKS!!!

Yeah but it would be worth it just to see that Big Mouse with those gorgeous ears!!!

Actually last time I was in Disney Land I was stopped by the police because it was very obvious I was lost! He told me in a deep Southern voice if I kept going the direction I was going I would hit Disney Land in about 3500 miles.. or I could turn around and be there in 10!!

dkeifner, DO NOT TEMPT ME! I wanna live up north so bad.
I can really understand how FLdawg feels. I lived in St. Petersburg for 26 years and the toruists and traffic were bad there. Orlando is 10 times worse.
Disney World is a lot of fun if you go at the right time. We went in August once.....never again. There was a man there with his family and his wife was handing him this hot, screaming baby. Every one was hot and sweaty. He looked at his wife and said, "There is NO way this was worth it."

22 hours of daylight, no SNOW,ICE, ICEFOG, and it is not -60F. Fishing, golf, back packing, flying with the doors open(helos).
Can't wait for the salmon run in August.
