Hog jowls are the big hunks of fat on a pigs neck, chittlins are pig intestines, cleaned out and deep fried! And no I don't eat either one of them, I was only being humorous!

For New Years I usually celebrate by having a large quantity of beer, you know, to ring in the new year!

Ham for Christmas. Black eyed peas for luck on New Years. Never heard of kraut on New Years. If you have to ask what chittlins are, you don't wanna know.

As for baking, I'm doing everything from chocolate chip cookies to shortbread to baklava...I have tons of recipes, give me a vague idea of what you are looking for and i might be able to pass on some great recipes.

I am looking for something that says..."I don't bake much but look what I made just for you my cookie monster".

Something that has lots of colour and maybe chocolate and coconut????

        P.S. Mitzi...LOL

And yes I think I'll pass on the chittlins!
