  • Report on BIA Tribal LEO- equp & Hours.

    O'siyo,

Got a news report here, that describes the poor working conditions and equipment shortfalls encountered by the LEO working on various indian reservations.

LEO have died due to excessive hours and lack of backup. One case, a father and then his son have died in the line of duty under such circumstances.

    These are men of respect.

    Siyo Jim,

These men certainly deserve our respect. Many of us who have been resident deputies have seen a LITTLE of what tribal police officers face as far as not having backup available. But when I drive across the Navajo and the Hopi reservations, I realize just how good I had it in Death Valley!

      Siyo,

My son, knuckle-head that he is, wants to become a tribal LEO.

He could be a Cherokee Marshal, but says thats too much like his present Calif dept.

Those large reservations are homelands, they are like no other lands. Such beauty.
