School paper

So I have to do a paper for my crim. justice class. It's gotta be 8 pages. I have decided I want to do the paper on drugs and America's stance against them. That's very broad I know. I want to narrow it down to something more narrow hah, but I want to be able to find an abundance of information. Do you have any suggestions? Any books, websites?

Instead of being bravely PC, why not be smart and pick a simpler and more compact subject that will be easy to write about? How about using Nancy Reagan's "just say no" and if it worked, as a topic. Sounds PC but you can ask anyone you know if they ever tried drugs and if they had ever heard that phrase. They can be described in general without being named as references ..."according to 'Tina', a 22yo mother of three...." etc.

I am also you can find plenty written about the issue in old political and history books, (history....I must be getting OLD) ...anyway....you can give regular cites...and also look like you did a ton of research just by talking to people you know.

Just remember, eight pages is NOTHING!

I would write about the Methamphetamine epidemic in the midwest. You could include
-How easy it is to make and the impact (common household items)
-The two forms of making it phospherous lab vs traditional
-The consequences of use (addiction, health decline)
-Common signs of a user
-Meth lab dumps all over and its effect on environment
-The low cost compared with other drugs (poor mans cocaine)

Definitely a great idea. There is no word to describe what is going on with Methamphetamine. Epidemic just isn't a strong enough word. Down state they just found an underground lab. Some A-Hole stole a damn school bus (one of the short ones), buried it underground, and made a lab out of it. Crazy. This topic will EASILY get your 8 page requirement done and it wouldn

I remeber a few years ago I did a college term paper on less than lethal weapons. There's actually a ton of new and exciting stuff out there that not many people have heard of. You could always fill the bulk of the paper with the one's people know (ie. tazers, bean bag rounds, pepperball, etc etc) but can also include stuff thats in development. There's plenty of info online and I remember being somewhat amazed at all the stuff around.
