You get put into groups and you're responsible to get not only your work done, but other people's work when they don't do theirs. Usually 2 or 3 of us out of the group wound up doing all of the work while the rest did nothing.
I also took two classes at UOP. If you decide on UOP, be prepared to do the work of others. I had to spend endless hours fixing errors of people who were tasked to do individual parts of a report, and their sections did not make sense.

Are you prior military? And if you are; are you elegible for G.I. Bill? That alone could save you lots. If not you may want to consider maybe joining the reserves or guard to get some of your education bills paid off. I attend Central Texas College at Ft Lee, VA. It's a sub-school for active military and prior military. Most of my classes are online though and it's not that expensive. I pay 75.00 per credit, plus books. It beats paying 250.00 per credit at most other schools. Another school to look into is Thomas Edison State College. I am looking into this school myself.

Of the schools on my lists, Fort Hays State University has, by far, the cheapest tuition. It's a steal for a regionally accredited degree.

Liberty University used to offer a significant discount to law enforcement & military, so that may be worth looking into.

As mentioned, make sure the school has legitimate accreditation. There are such things as fake schools and fake accrediting agencies. If anyone has any questions at all about online/distance learning or accreditation, please e-mail me.

Jacksonville State University is a good one. I'm getting my Bachelors in Emergency Managment with Minors in Public Safety Telecommunications and Homeland Security. Classes are only $522 each I believe. (my agency pays 100% for classes)

As everyone else said make sure they're accredited.

It is expensive, but it's worth it. After all, you may well get me as one of your instructors.

Yes, university of phoenix is the "best" of the highly advertised schools online but definitely not the best of the programs offered online.

University of Mass. offers a online CJ degree and that is a bigtime school, I think University of florida also offers one online.

All of them are mucho $$$, and to be honest I'd go with a non CS degree. Most departments care that you have a college degree but don't care in what as long as it is partly relavent. I think a degree in psychology would take you farther, a degree in computer science would give you so many other options other than law enforcement when you retire/burnout.

It's hella exspensive. Each undergrad classes were about $1200. Delta has a great list and I'd ask him for it if you are interested, there are many there for the $$ and will give you worthless degrees.

Another thing to watch out for is a lot of advertised online universities are barely universities at all!! A good amount of stuff out there is pure bull****... so make sure you do your research, the last thing anyone would want is to do the work and pay the money to just get screwed in the long run...

The program that I am in now is not online but offers.... Columbia College of Missouri.. they have campuses all over the US and have online offered for all over the world.

Whatever you decide on, make sure the school is accreditted, because if its not you're wasting your time and money!!

    Good luck to you.

Can you please not type in all caps? It's really annoying and it seems to be a developing trend in your posts.
