Hello,
I am trying to find a specific type of leg restraint device that I once saw advertised in a catalog. The device resembles a pair of straight leg braces. A suspect's legs are each strapped to one of these devices. The suspect's legs are then strapped together. The device is intended to prevent a suspect from bending his knees and creating problems. I would prefer a link if anybody can provide one but I will definitely take whatever help I can get. The name of the device, manufacturer, and any vendors would also be helpful.
Also, has anybody used this device? If so, what do you think of it? My agency has used the hobble for the past several years with mixed results. I liked the cord cuff leg restraint device (aka hog-tie) much better but we're not allowed to use these any more.
I apologize for listing this topic here but I couldn't access the Equipment and Tactical forum.
Thanks,
Underdog
