A reason why its always a good idea to stay on the passenger side of a car on the freeway. A drunk driver knocks a officer head over heals and lands in a empty lane (luckily) and was able to get up and run to the side before another car could hit her. She survived with minor injuries.

Passenger side
The passenger side approach has quite a few advantages, although no approach is ever risk free. I've used both the driver side and passenger side approach depending on the type of road, traffic volume etc. The key is always caution and alertness.Comment
