  • Live police scanners from New Orleans

Someone has a police scanner with an audio cable going to the mic jack on their sound card, they are streaming that audio via a shoutcast server. You need winamp for this, go to the website and click on "Listen" at the top, open the file and enjoy! It's not always busy but when it is theres some crazy stuff going on.

It works with musicmatch too, if I had it I would tell you how to use it, try to find something that says "Listen to url" or something and then paste one of the url's and it should work.

+1 Same here. Must be several hundred, if not thousands of people are trying to listen.

I got the same thing, so I copied and pasted in the "Open URL" in Windows Media Player. Now it works.

If you click the "Stream URL" it will come up as an error.

If you click on "Listen" at the top center, it'll bring it up.

                          for iTunes,

                          Advanced > Open Stream
                          (or Ctrl+U on PC)

then copy and paste in either of the two links COPS provided above.
