The test is in no way hard or difficult. Any person with a shred of common sense knows what answers to choose so that he doesn't appear insane.

most tests like that rely on the tester to be 100% honost. they are common sense questions which anyone could figure out what answer they probably shouldnt select. most of these people are really smart and most can have 5 different realitys in their head. everyone thinks serial killers and pedophiles are humpbacked with a hook for a hand and a patch over one eye. read up on serial killers. all the neighbors always say what a nice guy he was. this is because in his head one reality existed as a meek mild mannered citizen, and the other mindset was a killer. they dont kill 10 people over 20 years by being stupid. they can pass pshyche tests all day. most dont even think they are doing wrong.

The Psych that gave our test actually told me that most cops rate really high in the same areas that criminals and serial killers rate really high. He did say that unlike most departments my chief was a good choice of character and stated that most of the officers in our department were pretty well rounded.

I think its pretty safe to assume he is the killer. I mean, he described the killings in court, in detail. And as far as the psych test goes, its very common for serial killers to be highly intelligent. I doubt he had any problems passing anything in his life, let alone a psych test.

i know, ive taken several of the mmpi's. but my whole point is, that its supposed to catch someone who is out there, right, well, obvioulsy it doesnt work.

The only thing these evaluations are good for are pointing out those who are not in touch with reality. In that, I'm talking that they are not on the same planet, are waiting for the mother ship, and think it's the year 2743. Being a psychopathic and being out of touch are two different things. The former is a behavioral and socialization issue, the latter is a mental illness. They are really pathetic, though. I talked to a cop who took a psych eval and they had him draw a tree. Since he drew a knot hole in the trunk that supposedly meant he had homosexual tendencies, and the squirrel he drew suggested he may be a pedophile... all I can say to that is: wow.
