The last time I went to the Musuem of Natural Art, my sister and I wandered to the "contemporary" art section. There was actually canvases where people colored a circle or rectangle and nothing more and it was considered "art." To each their own, but to me this isn't art! Actual art involves thought and invokes emotion. The only emotion invoked out of me was disbelief that they actually got paid for it.

It's been done, Nick ... displayed at the Smithsonian I think. I can't remember if they painted it or just left it blank ...

I like SOME contemporary art.. more into photography and impressionism more so but some contemporary stuff astounds me with the absolute lack of any stylistic tendancies.

In some moments of exceptional boredom, I have sometimes fashioned those twist ties that come with garbage bags into stick men, horses, etc. Having read that article, I would like to announce that I am an artist. Would anybody like to buy one of my twist tie art works? I am offering special deals to members of officer.com.

I remember reading an article about a guy who "painted" a canvas with his own feces. That brought new meaning to "that painting is a piece of s&^$"
