Child Shot in Maryland

A 13 year old child was shot outside a middle school in Prince George's County about 2 hours ago.

Any guesses out there?

The sniper will make a mistake at some point and get caught. The problem is, how many more people will be cut down before they get him.

You know, last night we were watching either CNN or MSNBC and a man went on national TV and said that school would go on just as planned that it would be a normal day, no inside recess, etc.
I told my husband, well wasn't that a stupid thing to do? There just inviting the killer to the school. I said, if my child went to that school, he wouldn't be there tomorrow after that comment.
And now, this morning, I tune into O.com for the latest news, opinions and other useful nonsense and see this thread. What a shame, a terrible shame.
I don't think anything or anyone in that area should be "back to normal" until this person(s) is caught.

Terrorism had crossed my mind, but I think it's just a sick freak personally. Terrorists tend to brag too much. Plus, they tend to make attacks happen in different places almost simultaneously. From what I know. But it's still a possibility. Either way, they need to get whoever is doing this. And quickly.

I would think if it was terrorist they would be taking responsibility for it in some way. But as an investigator you have to be open minded and take shots in the dark to find who done it in a case like this. I suspect they have a ton of leads to follow up on too. Wish I could give them a hand. Sure would love to get this guy behind bars and soon!

I think that one of the things that strikes me is the parallels between these attacks and last years anthrax attacks. It seems to me that it was this time of year that the anthrax letters started going to offices such as Daschle's and Leahy. The media took hold of the story and it caused a panic with the public. This crime is very similiar. A large splash that caused the media to get involved and now a shooting a day that keeps the nations and its media outlets giving the story "legs". I'm not suggesting there's a link but the similiarities are striking.

The shooter left a tarot card with the words, "Dear Policeman, I am God," written on it,...sounds like this person wants TO be caught and is playing a game with police.

Also the gun that was used (.223) is the type of gun used for shooting long distance, I know that because my father use to own one.
