Red Dragon/Manhunter

Ok, Red Dragon is a remake of the movie Manhunter, that was made in the mid 80's by Produder Michael Mann of Miami Vice fame.
I love Manhunter, the best cop flick I have ever seen. I hope this remake is half as good, if so it will be great.
The book is awesome also, the first viewing of Hannibal Lecter on the big screen was Manhunter, played by a different actor, but wonderfully played.

The difference I see between the Red Dragon and Manhunter is that Manhunter scares you in a brightly lit room, Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs is shot in a dark spooky way, to enhance the story.
I prefer the brightly lit room...
I can't wait to see Red Dragon, just to compare.

I saw Manhunter years ago, and that was one of those movies I had to cover my eyes for. Same with Silence of the Lambs. God, I'm such a sissy.

I read Red Dragon a while ago and Hannibal Lector did not play all that large a role in the book. It looks like they have increased his exposure in the movie though because Hannibal is what sells.

I'll be seeing the movie this weekend.. I hope its good.

Gosh, that movie terrified me. It made me want to put a fake address on the label when I was having my film developed anywhere!

Well, it's a good thing you didn't see Andy Warhol's Frankenstein in 3D years ago!!
I saw it and there people actually running out of the theater!!
