15 yr. old student suspended for drawing

on another forum i frequent, this one guy's
15 year old nephew was suspended from school when a teachers aide found the student finishing up this anime drawing because he drew a "gun". you know...zero tolerance and all!!

but drop a crucifix in urine and it's "art" !!!!

Hey....at least the 3rd graders in Florida that were caught trying to sell marijuana at school were busted.

BTW....kids at MY school can wear THE CONFEDERATE FLAG on their clothes.....and when we studied the Vikings, my students did drawings depicting Vikings raiding coastal villages...complete with swords, bows and arrows....and *gasp!* BLOOD!

Oh, yeah.....when we studied the Plains Indians, I demostrated the art of arrow making to my students.

boy -- i sure hope they never study WWI or WWII. there were guns AND bombs there!!!!! and people died too!! we don't want to harm their fragile psyches and turn them into killing machines.

I drew guns and swords in school all the time (actually, I still do).

I guess it depends on where you are at. My 15 year old wrote a composition on gun collecting milsurps. He went into detail about it and even showed pics of several of his WW2 battle rifles.

I kinda thought that his ultra left wing liberal teacher would have some heartburn over it, but he was the only kid in the class to get a 100 percent .

Any administrator that suspends a kid over a drawing needs to be fired and deported to China
for further indoctrination.

Some teachers are able to grade objectively, you know, regardless of their political ideology, provided the students does their assignment.
