How many O.Com members are Police Officers?

i'm not an LEO but i do work very closely with officers in the field. maybe there should be an option on the poll for those of us that dispatch or work office jobs. my dispatch center is located inside a jail, so we could find ourselves in high risk situations very easily.

Never really wanted to be a cop, but after the corps I didn't want to shine shoes in the airport, wax floors at the high school, dig ditches, or re-enlist, and I couldn't afford to take out the ad in Soldier of Fortune.

So now I'm a cop, never was a wannabe, until now...

Much to the dismay of many on here, I am LEO. Still in training....but I made it.

I will say as a prospective coming on this site, I did learn a lot from the LEO's that post, but I do like to chat and have a laugh when the stress gets high too.

Civilian....but interviewing this week for at least one department and waiting to hear from several others.

My problem is deciding if I want to be one or not. Starting next year I will have to make a decision. (Going on 27 years) Retirement is a becoming a light at the end of the tunnel.

By the way, Iam a cop for 10 years 6 months and 1 day. First job start was 1-16-95. Been taking out the garbage ever since I got 24 years and 6 months to go
