I'm always amazed at this type thinking also. What amazes me more than the criminals family seeming clueless when something hapens to a criminal is the number of Police officers/ Sheriffs/ Chiefs/ ect. that say this type crap too.

"He was in trouble time to time (Meaning he broke the law often and was genarally a criminal) but I never knew he'd ###(Fill in this blank with any crime)###. He was turning his life around, ever since he got out of prison last month for ###(Fill in this blank with the same crime as above)###. The officers conduct in this matter is going to be looked into. Officers ###(Fill in any officers names here)### have been placed under investigation. Both officer #### and #### have been trouble in the past for complaints of ###(Fill in any type crap you want here)###. This situation will be addressed.
###(Fill in crimials name)### will be missed by this community as a whole.

I always wonder what the victims, of this criminals actions, think? Ever notice the number of sentences it takes to explain the criminals past compared to any officers problems at their dept.? Just my two cents worth.

You cops are horrible. Who in the world would shoot an armed rober, that was turning his life around?! I mean, he had a lover, and probably family. You disgust me!

    Damn trigger happy cops...
    (end sarcasm)

Yeah... the poor guy just needed this one last score to get everything on track, right? And those damn pesky police had to ruin everything...

    Turning his life around?

Yea it sounds like he was really running the straight and narrow road. What a ridiculous statement.

Don't worry, newspaper readership is down all over the country and they won't be around much longer.
