I regret to inform all of you in the law enforcement community and beyond that our Sheriff's Department Helicopter, STAR6, crashed yesterday evening killing two of our Deputies and seriously injuring a third.
We, in the K9 Unit, share an especially strong bond with our air units. While we search on the ground STAR is circling above us searching from the air keeping one eye on us and one eye looking for the suspect. We are always in constant communication and train together on a regular basis.
Lets all keep the families of our fallen Deputies in our hearts and prayers and pray for a full recovery of the deputy at the hospital.
If you would like send a kind word you may sign our guestbook on our website that is viewed by many members of our department.
