Looking for Police Officers from Massachusetts

Hey, I'm a 21 yearold Infantryman in the Army currently who is very interested in becomming a Boston Police Officer or a Mass. State Trooper once I get finished with my 2nd tour of Iraq. If anyone has been either one or currently is one, could you give me some info on how it is. Anything that you can give on the recruiting process, academy, an average day, the benefits, pay, rank structure, weapons you use,etc. and any other stuff.
